rtofvnt (or “rt of venture”, Maciej Legowicz, “Matt”)
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where are you from, what do you do for a living?
My real name is Maciej Legowicz – a Polish name – but I’ve lived more than five years in the UK, and I am always being refer as Matthew by my British friends, as it is something they can pronounce.
My strange AudioJungle nickname has got some background. Do you guys remember the best home computer ever made – apart from the ZX Spectrum – called the Amiga? Ever heard of Amiga scene? A proper bunch of geeks. We had groups – ours was called Venture. We did some demos etc. and my nick name was just “rt”. So, thats how it happened – I’m rt of venture – in short: rtofvnt.
As was mentioned, I come from Poland – you’ve heard about this country … vodka, good looking girls etc. - but I moved with my wife and daughter to the United Kingdom around September 2004, where I live and work. My everyday job is web design and development. It can sometimes be boring, especially when your boss changes his mind every three days. I would really like to be a full time musician … give me some time please. (more…)

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where are you from, what do you do for a living?
Born in Los Angeles, I have been in Northern California since the age of 16, and have lived in Alameda (an island in San Francisco Bay) nearly half my life. I’ve worked as a sound designer for software game publishers and toy companies, and I’m now doing it as an independent contractor. I also play in a Beatles cover band called The Sun Kings. Together for nine years, it’s become much more of an occupation than the hobby it started out to be.
2. How long have you been composing music and what got you started producing?
I started composing songs at age 12 after receiving my first guitar. I wrote five songs in the first five days as fast as I could learn new chords. The output has varied since then. I first started producing music by recording my songs directly into a cassette recorder, listening back, and all too often saying ‘Hmmph, I can make it sound better’ instead of leaving it alone. Eventually I graduated to a reel to reel tape machine with sound-on-sound capability. Hello overdubbing! Since then, the gear and methods have improved considerably.

Norralt (Björn Norralt)
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where are you from, what do you do for a living?
Hello! I’m a 22-year-old guy from Estonia. I’m studying history at Tartu University and I earn my living with some short-term jobs translating texts and teaching people to play the guitar etc. I never had a decent job really, and am unemployed at the moment as well, as there really are no jobs at this time. So I found out about AudioJungle and decided to give it a try. At least it’s an opportunity to earn some money to cover the expenses that a musician often comes to.
2. How long have you been composing music and what got you started producing?
I’ve been composing music almost all my life. I remember around 13 or 14 years ago I first tried composing a song myself. As my father used to be a musician at the end of the 1980s, he gave me a lot of tips and I began to like this new hobby of mine more and more.
In 2004 (I guess
) my father bought me Steinberg Cubase SX3 for a present and also some hardware equipment to run the program. I had tried out Fruity Loops Studio before, but producing and especially recording with it was the biggest pain ever. So I could say that I started producing in 2004, and it was probably the best time of my life

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where are you from, what do you do for a living?
I live in the North West of England in a little village where mysteriously, everyone looks similar and has the same surname… apart from me. I work as a digital media designer, creating motion graphics, flash animation, web development and print based media, and of course music composition. About half of my work is for direct clients that I’ve accumulated over the last 10 years and the other half is for creative agencies, primarily in the Manchester area.
2. How long have you been composing music and what got you started producing?
Since I was about 16… so lets just say ‘a long time ago!’ I learnt to play guitar at 14 but was much more interested in the unusual resonant sounds a guitar can make, rather than how many twiddly notes per second I could achieve. A couple of years later I got a multitrack and started putting layers down, playing with stereo and mixes. The composition and arrangement process was much more exciting than the technical ability.
