Managers shouldn't be in the studio in the first place unless they have a friendly relationship with the artist.
They shouldn't have any input what so ever, they're just the door stop.

Selecting the right producer for a band is of the uppermost importance to wrap up the creative into a post production.

Often it is a privilege to work with a producer / engineer, as the good ones usually have enough work and can pick out the bands they can identify themselves with as they are too part of the creative process.

I would feel highly uncomfortable during the post production to receive any creative input from a manager. The manager however could be supportive to the musicians in regards to coping with possible stress and lend a listening ear. Short Production times and tight budget can sometimes demand a lot from the artists.

So in my opinion a manager should become more of a people manager in the studio rather than managing a product.
